 Job Description for Production Planning Engineer

Expected Job responsibilities –

 

Candidate must be –

• BE Mech

• Worked in Production planning & control department for 2~3 years with SAP PP module.

• Hands on experience in SAP PP activities (End user).

• Knowhow of interface between SAP PP & SD activities.

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.

• MS office skills (SharePoint, MS Word, Excel, Power Point).

• Advance excel (Formula/Statistics method/Pivot tables).

• Know how on the quality management systems

 

Expected Job responsibilities


• Should have knowledge for order entry to dispatch processes.

• Handling of Production order, production order scheduling, Production order Printing.

• Experience in material planning with MRP process.

• Material requisition/PO creation for intercompany business.

• Setting up the KANABN process for material procurement.

• Track material requirement/ shortages & set alarms to planning team. Material availability checks against requirement.

• Knowhow of inventory management tools.

• Participation in daily production meetings & presenting the data related to open orders, Backlog orders, Urgencies if any.

• Knowhow on the BOM & routing maintenance in the production order.

• Conversant with Capacity planning tools/methodology.

• Assists with maintenance of material masters in SAP.

• Excellent verbal & written communications skills, able to communicate cross functionally. Should be able to communicate fluently in English with external & internal stakeholders.

• Working experience with international environment will be added advantage.

• Capable of reading engineering drawings.

• MIS reporting – Daily production/Backlog/Reason for Delays/Material shortages etc.
