Education

BE/DE ( Metallurgy)

 

Experience:

Minimum 2-3 years experience in field.

 

Job Purpose / Objectives:

 

Checking of Incoming Raw Material.

Ensure proper preservation of Raw Material up to Stamping.

Establish Control over material at time of unloading, Storage, Unpacking, Processing, Movement as per Quality Standard.

Monitoring of Material Check during Process

 

 

Job Responsibilities and Major Activities / Tasks:

 

• Check Raw Material  Coil for proper packaging at receipt stage

• Ensure storage  at defined Location in Store.

• Check the coil label as per the Process Instruction.  

• Take the coil number from label attached to respective coil and give blanking material clearance after verifying the respective mill Test certificate.

• Check the coil appearance (rust, damage, contamination etc.) visually before blanking production start.

• Measure the coil width by using the measuring tape.

• Ensure beginning and End of Coil to be scraped.

• At 10% production (25 blanks production), measure 1-blank’s dimensions (width and cutting step), flatness, appearance (visually for inner parts and by stoning for skin parts) as per Process Instruction.

• To give clearance for production & record the measured values in Blanking Press Production Report.

• If Mill Test certificate is not available then make sample for testing as per CP01.

• Monitor proper stacking before and after transport.

• Block pallets which are not according to specification

• Monitor cutting edges are burr free

• Attend stamping issues related to raw material, verify problem and give decision accordingly following line return process. 

• If material problem is acceptable then take back material to Raw Material Rejection area and identify with proper lable.

• If material is not acceptable than take trails of that material as per schedule plan.

• Conduct SPC,MSA and Calibration as per plan

• To follow the rules & instructions made under EMS , QMS & 5S
